    "notes": "This research aimed to analyze the second-semester students' needs for an extensive reading course at the English Education Study Program of PGRI Silampari University. The researcher used descriptive qualitative. The subject of the research was 23 students of Extensive Reading Course of English Education Study Program at PGRI Silampari University. The data were collected by using questionnaire and interview. After that, the data were analyzed with percantage. In summary the goal of students in Extensive Reading was to increase their reading skills and to elicit much knowledge. Students need the textbook to learn Extensive Reading, and some criteria of materials\u2019 topic that they need were realistic, attractive, could expand students\u2019 awareness, and enrich students\u2019 experience. However, the topic should not be in line with students' basic study programs. Furthermore, students still lacked in understanding the material, the various text types, and making conclusions. They hope Extensive Reading can improve their reading skills, could increase vocabulary mastery, make them understand grammar, and practice their reading speed and fluency. Students need skills such as a main idea, detail question, and inference included in the tasks. They also need if previewing, scanning, and skimming included in Extensive Reading. Moreover, they need material that increase vocabulary mastery and material about making conclusions. Students need reading comprehension tests, guessing meaning and applying different strategies in Extensive Reading. Moreover, Students preferred learning in groups and in pair than learning individually.\r\n\r\nKeywords: Extensive Reading, Needs Analysis, University Students",
