Game for Primary School Learners in Teaching Vocabulary

This reserch as conducted to find out the effectiveness of teaching vocabulary by using game for primary learners. There were 21 students treated as the sample of this research. Pre-experimental method was applied and data was collected by giving multiple choice test. Moreover, the writer used SPSS 20 to analyzed through individual score, comparison the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC), and paired t-test. The researcher found out that average score of pre-test was 57.9 and for the post-test was 73.9. Moreover, the result of paired tt-test was higher than the whole classs was 12.64. Futhermore, the critical value of 95% with df=20. Significance level was 0.05 and the result of t-table was 1.724. Moreover, the writer found out the result of mean was 1.26. it could be concluded the the result of t-test 12.64>t-table=1.724 and which the significance 0.000 less then significance level 0.05 with df=20. It meant that the alternative hypothesis was accepted which was stated that it was significantly effective to teach vocabulary by using game to primary learners.
