Students' Habit in Learning Listening for General Communication

Habit is very important in language learning. For the example are habit in reading, writing, habit in watching news, habit in listening to English song. Habit in listening for general Communication can make students to learn more joyful. By listening for general Communication, students will automatically engage to learn English because it makesthem joyful. The purpose of the study to investigate how is students’ habit in listening for general Communication. The writer formulated the problems into two research questions that would be answered by using qualitative research, that is; 1) how is students’ habit in listening for general Communication at 1st Students of English Education Study Program STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau?, and 2) What are the factors that influence students’ habit in listening for general Communication at 1st Students of English Education Study Program STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau? This research had one variable. This research was a case study research. In collecting the data, the writer used questionnaires and interview method that contains positive questions about students’ habit in listening for General Communication, then writer choose 30 students consisting of 26 students who had good habit and 4 students who had bad habit in listening for general Communication as interviewee. In analyzing the data, the data obtained from questionnaires analyzed. Finally, the writer concluded that students of 1st Students of English Education Study Program STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau had good habit in listening to listening for General Communication in general.
