DEVELOPING INTERACTIVE WEB-BASED MEDIA FOR PUBLIC SPEAKING COURSE

The research aimed to develop interactive web-based media for public speaking course for the second semester students of English Education study program at PGRI Silampari University. The objectives of this research were: (1) to find out an interactive web-based media was valid (2) to find out an interactive web-based media was practical, and (3) to find out an interactive web-based media was effective. The subjects were second semester students of English Education study program which consisted of 27 female and 3 male students. The method of this research was Research and Development (R&D) and the model used ADDIE. The result in one to-one evaluation, the researcher got average 4,2 which was categorized high validity.Then, in small group the researcher got average 4,2 where it was categorized high practical. The last was field test, the researcher got the average 77,5%, which it was categorized high effective. Thus, the researcher conluded that the development of interactive web-based media for public speaking course was very good and got the positive responses from the students and lecturer.
