    "notes": "Vocabulary is the fundamental basis for acquiring English, as it enhances the 4 skills of writing, reading, listening, and speaking. This study aimed to ascertain whether the implementation of the Magic Card Game at SMPN 6 Lubuklinggau enhanced students' vocabulary and language proficiency. A pre-experimental design employing a single group pre-test and post-test was utilized. The population consisted of 196 seventh-grade students at SMPN 6 Lubuklinggau. There were 26 students in the sample. The researcher administered the pre-test to the students before the treatments. Also, the students were given a post-test by the researcher following the treatment. Three approaches were utilized to analyze the data: (1) individual score, (2) individual score conversion, and (3) paired t-test. The data analysis yielded three primary conclusions: 1) The pre-test mean score was 54; 2) the post-test mean score was 72; and 3) the paired t-test computation yielded a t-obtained score of 35.61, indicating which t-table was higher. This value is much higher than the critical value of t at the 0.05 significance level with 25 of freedom was 1.70814. It showed that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Therefore, it shows that during the 2024\u20132025 academic year, the seventh-grade students at SMPN 6 Lubuklinggau learned vocabulary mastery through the usage of the Magic Card Game was effective. As a result, more research is needed to determine the efficiency of different teaching strategies in generating a conducive classroom environment while using interactive games or media to improve students' vocabulary mastery.\r\n\r\nKeywords: Descriptive, Game, Magic Card, Vocabulary",
