This study aims to determine the improvement of students' numeracy skills, the research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design in the form of Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study is all students of grade VII of SMP Negeri 2 Muara Rupit while the sample in this study is grade VII 3 (experimental class) and VII 2 (control class). The research results obtained in this study were after the application of the poster-assisted discovery learning model, where the average pre-test result in the experimental class was 41.12 and in the control class was 43.04 while the post-test results in the experimental class were 79.68 and the control class was 53.28. Based on the results of the analysis of the t-test, it was obtained = with a significant level of t_(hitung ) 9,29α = 0.05 and dk = 48 obtained = t_(tabel )1.677 where t_(hitung )>t_(tabel ) it can be concluded that there is an influence that distinguishes mathematics learning using the poster-assisted discovery learning model on students' numeracy skills.
